This was made by a well known collectible silversmith, in the Boston area, back in the day, William B Kerr.
This is a really nice shape of a bottle or jar, not for perfume or scent, but can definitely go on a make up table tray, as it is not too large, and definitely not small.  It has a cut glass bottom, and the top is stamped Sterling, and the bottle measures 2.50″ wide and the entire piece is 1.82″ high, so a great size.  No damage to the glass or the top, and this is ready to use.  There is a crest on the top.
